Shop repair, road service and the area we cover
Most crane repairs are done best in our shop. Some can be done where the truck is. Here is how we decide, and how far we go.
The shop
Our shop is at 906 West Gore St, Orlando, FL 32805, southwest of downtown Orlando, between Orange Blossom Trail and I-4. Crane bays, our own fabrication shop for structural repairs, and the parts desk are on the same property. Open Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Eastern.
A repair belongs in the shop when it needs:
- A cylinder pulled and resealed, or a rod or barrel checked on the bench
- Welding or structural work on the boom, the base or the sub-frame
- A slew drive, gear ring or bearing opened up
- A crane lifted off the truck, remounted or rebuilt
- Truck work under the crane: PTO, transmission, differential, brakes or engine
- A long diagnosis, where the fault only shows up after the oil is hot
Road service
Some jobs can be done where the truck is, and it is cheaper to send a technician than to move a crane truck that cannot fold or stow. Road service suits:
- A burst or leaking hose, made up and replaced
- A remote that stopped talking to the receiver, or a control fault to diagnose
- An outrigger or boom that will not stow, so the truck can be driven to the shop
- An inspection before you buy a used crane truck
- A leak or fault we need to see working before we can price the repair
Road service is scheduled during business hours, Monday to Friday. Call first: tell us where the truck is, what it is doing, and whether it can be driven. We will tell you whether a road call makes sense or whether the truck needs to come in, and what the trip costs before we send anyone.
The area we cover
We are in the middle of Central Florida and most of our customers are within a couple of hours of the shop. Road service covers Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Lake, Volusia, Brevard and Polk counties, and further by arrangement. Trucks come to the shop from the rest of Florida as well.
| Place | Rough distance from the shop |

| Kissimmee, Sanford, Clermont | 20 to 25 miles |
| Leesburg, Titusville | about 45 miles |
| Daytona Beach, Lakeland | about 55 miles |
| Melbourne, Ocala | 70 to 80 miles |
| Tampa | about 85 miles |
Getting a truck here
If the crane is stowed and the truck is safe to drive, drive it in. If the crane will not stow, do not drive it: call us and we will talk through getting it folded safely or arranging transport. We are on West Gore Street near Orange Blossom Trail; call for directions to the customer entrance.
What to have ready when you call
- The crane make, model and serial number from the crane plate
- The truck make and model
- Where the truck is, and whether it can be driven
- What it is doing: which function, since when, hot or cold, remote or manual controls
- A photo or a short video of the leak or the fault, if you can take one safely
Tell us what the crane is doing
Give us the make, the model and serial number from the crane plate, where the truck is, and what it is or is not doing. We will tell you whether it is a part, a repair or a bigger conversation.
